View Full Version : Obama - "The buck stops with someone else!!"

On 60 Minutes last night, Obama blamed, by name, his director of national intelligence (James Clapper) for under-estimating the ISIS threat.

When anything goes right, he gets credit. For every failure, it's ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS someone else's fault. He never takes responsibility for whatg goes wrong. I'm surprised Obama didn't tell 60 Minutes that he was going to write to his Congressman and ask that Clapper be fired...

What an awful jerk. He'll throw anyone under the bus when it's politically expedient - his pastor, his grandmother,...

Two more LONG, LONG years.

He also threw the Ferguson cop under the bus at the U.N., and that guy hasn't even been charged, let alone convicted, yet, of any wrong doing. Disgraceful.

How long, O Lord?

James Clapper came out and said we underestimated the threat before the interview yesterday. He said he personally didn't think ISIS would fight as hard and he didn't think the Iraqi army would fold. Obama didn't blame throw Clapper under the bus as much as he was referencing his public comments.

The Fox piece tried to make it sound like we could have been bombing 18 months ago without any recognition that the situation 18 months ago would have made bombing quite problematic. I would assume we'd have military plans ready to go. Hell, we should have plans ready for just about any contingency. That doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want.

He also didn't throw the Ferguson cop under the bus...he just said we have our own problems at home. Regardless for the justification for the killing how the police and people responded certainly shows things are pretty screwed up.

Spence, thanks for making my point for me. Clapper said that "we", which necessarily includes himself, were wrong. Obama didn't say "we" were wrong, he said Clapper (someone else) was wrong. Don't blame him for anything!

As to the UN, we have absolutely no idea what the problem in Ferguson is. How about we do an investigation, before we conclude that there was any racial wrongdoing? If I was that cop's lawyer, then if he gets charged, I would argue that thanks to Obama's idiotic and irresponsible remarks, there's nowhere on Earth where the cop can get a fair trial. Everyone in the world has access to Obama's remarks. Isn't Obama a lawyer? Shouldn't he know this?

This is what happens when you elect a guy who is a community agitator, whose only skill is his ability to make people get out of his way, and give him what he wants, because he's black.

I am shocked, yes shocked, that you blindly came to his defense.

We assume things when we don't have the facts. In this case if there were contingency plans isis would have been hit in the open as they crossed the border not wait until they mixed in with the civilian population where it would require ground troops to rout them.

The buck stops with the Commander in Chief who's first obligation is to protect America and it's citizens, not spending 6 years on social engineering. He ASSUMED taking world tours and apologizing for our so called transgressions would bring understanding and peace. His assumption was wrong.

I'm not sure that was ever on his agenda.

ISIS crossed the border months ago, right? February? And Obama acts like he had no idea they had any serious capabilities until they start beheading people (or more accurately, until his polling numbers tanked before what could be a disastrous midterm election).

The guy is an idiot who spent his whole life in academia, and had an ego big enough to genuinely believe that he could make these people like us because he pronounces the country next to India as PAK'-eee-stahn.

'His assumption was wrong"

He'll blame the teleprompter.

Public comments yes. He must have read them in the paper being he missed some 50% of his daily security briefing meetings.
