Coming back from fishing yesterday I was in-between some Boston harbor islands. Clear skies, some wind with some chop in the seas. I see what I thought was a boat rooster tail, but as I got close there were no boats there. Just this kinda of spray of water. I did not go very high, and then it just collapsed. When I boated over the spot there was nothing.

I guessed it was water spout (what else?), but absolutely clear skies and just not much wind. It does not make sense. It was on the landing path to Logan so there were some planes passing over that area. So could the draft of big jet do that? In that area they are still pretty high up, not close to landing yet.
Still, I've been even closer to landing planes near the Harbor and never saw anything like this.

I happened too fast to get a pic, but an internet search I found an image of what it looked like. But what I saw was much smaller than the one in the pic.

BUT....
How can this happen on a clear day??
WTH is going on?
and don't blame Obama.

You dont need a stormy day for a water funnel like that. You ever see leafs do that in your yard on a windy day, its the same thing.

And its Al Gores fault he developed global warming and the internet

it's a cloaked USO flying real close to the surface
going By....

if UFO's are on earth they will not just use 1/4 of the earth's land mass.
they have a force field that bends water away from them before entering
and or leaving the water with silent running.

I'll never forget the story of old mr Pearson who was 85 at the time
who had to unload the tale to me .... (had been silent for 50 years)

Standing on a fishing vessel deck way out in the Atlantic ...he and the crew
witnessed two UFO's come down and create 50 foot tall Rooster tales
as they raced on by side by side ....

That was just God cleaning his brush, getting ready to paint a beautiful sunset.

Those are all good responses.
But I'm gonna' go with regular ole' water spout.

Talked to a buddy at work that I've gone offshore with and he said he had seen one years ago on a fairly nice day way out there.

Caulk it up to another weird sighting on the ocean.
You never know.
I'm still on the search for that bag of money floating out there.:spin:

Back in the 70s and 80s we used to find bags of other "stuff" floating out there. :)
