Make sure you vote today.
It's the only way we get to flush the toilet full of hacks down the drain.
Only to need another flush in a couple more years.

Heading to vote in a little bit. Unfortunately, every time the toilet flushes it fills back up with the same water every time.

All states should go the way Texas went on I D's.

How do they get their food stamps without an I D?

The poor have no problem here going to hospital and getting a hospital ID

Got out and voted before going to work.

Seemed weird that there were only 2 people out in front looking for last minute vote changes, and they were for the bottle bill.

No candidate supporters to be seen.

I and my mother were voters #297 & #298 at a Hyde Park location.
This was at 9:00 am.

I hope the voter turnout is more than expected, but somehow I just don't see the younger voters caring enough to put down their Iphone, Ipods and Xboxes long enough to give a hoot let alone cast a vote.

Remember the presidential voting stats: More people voted for American Idol than the presidency of the United States!

Of course when these slackers start to see less and less of daddy's money (cause the previledged ones don't HAVE to work) they'll be looking for someone to blame.

My brothers and I have made it a point to educate our nieces and nephews about the importance of the voting process, and that it's THEIR responsibility to know what is going on and what they are voting for (or against).

I only hope that they choose wisely!.....

So you want the automatic gas tax increase? :yak5:

It said a yes vote would change that law to automatically increase it. A No vote would make no change. I don't want the automatic increase.

The yes was for small business to have to provide up to 40 hours of paid sick time.

A YES VOTE would eliminate the requirement that the state’s gas tax be adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index.

IN FAVOR: Voting yes simply stops the linkage of the gas tax to inflation. This linkage causes the tax to increase every year without a vote of the Legislature. That’s taxation without representation. If the Legislature wants to increase taxes, they should have to vote for it. No tax should automatically increase.

"A YES VOTE would eliminate the requirement that the state’s gas tax be adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index."

So a Yes vote would (in theory) eliminate what the legislature voted into effect, taxation without representation.
A No vote makes no change to the law they already have in effect.

Dennis beat me to it, but if you voted NO , you voted to keep the tax tied to inflation.

Oh Fukc! When did that become a law. I was under the impression that we were voting on making it law. :smash::smash::smash:

Perfect example of the "uninformed voter" that Rush talks about.
Thanks a lot.

What ever. I'm sure my stupid vote will be the one to push it over the edge. I'd be very surprised if this doesn't pass.

I'll be more surpised if the yes votes win, and the legislature actually honors what the people vote.

Then there's the extra .25% sales tax that was voted out by the voters, that's still in effect. ;)
