Between my husband and myself we have been hemorraging money since february on everything we own that has a motor in it for one reason or another. The good news is we were unharmed.

Hit 2 cows....no not female moose like we would expect up there, but actual cows (cattle). Only in Vermont! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Raven 11-13-2014, 03:58 PM had the fog part one night just in time to see a brown Brahma bull standin there across the roadway .... i luckily avoided hitting it... don't know how=quick reflexes i reckon .......... otherwise you wouldn't be reading this post. Jenn 11-14-2014, 09:18 PM Surprised the cows didn't "Moooove" Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device HAHA! And yes we have made plenty of MOOOving and steak on the grill jokes. There was no moving...we came around the "s" curves, it was dark, snowing like mad, and they just froze in the headlights....we were on the downhill and slowed as much as possible before hitting them but there just was no missing them when there was one in each lane with no breakdown lanes and swerving in the ditch would have probably killed us. They managed to scurry to their hooves and into the woods after but I doubt they were without injury/broken bones of some kind. ultimately we are both thankful we were not hurt or it wasn't a moose (we just had the conversation of how we have been lucky all these years and all of our snow covered road travels, with trailer in tow) that while we have had some close calls we always made out and wondered if we were just lucky, careful or it was eventually inevitable and overdue. Vehicles are replaceable or fixable for sure. I just had to get my grump on as it seems to be never ending this year! Even with insurance this whole ordeal will still cost about $1,000 after rental and deductible .....I just need to catch a flippin $$$ break and a chance to pay one repair bill off before adding three more :( iamskippy 11-14-2014, 09:25 PM Gunna milk the ins company for some good money i am sure. Hehehhe couldn't resist. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Raven 11-15-2014, 05:22 AM if it's any consolation Jenn we have been going thru a similar process and spent 3 grand on one car.... a fix or repair daily and now the other one is demanding new repairs :hs: and i'm like there isn't going to be enough cash left to buy heating oil now that its 24 degrees one way you'll pay.... either in excise tax or repair bills for the old jaloppy vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
