I do not own a GoPro but see more and more folks using them fishing. For those who do use them, what do you thing of these as an alternative? Seem a lot more convenient/easy to use but also seems like some quality may be sacrificed.

Thoughts?

I have 4 GoPros.....been using them for 4 years now! The one place I hate mounting them the most is on my head! The vids you get can be too herky-jerky.....to much "back and forth" for any really good video! Just my opinion! I do not like the head mounted shots! That alternative you ask about also limits you as to what video angles you can get...they all have to be from that one angle...very one dimensional where with the GoPro there is no place you can't mount one! You can even fly them up on drones now, put them on any radio controlled vehicle, mount them on a pet....the possibilities are absolutely limitless!

Wallymart 52 bucks was looking at go pro way to much money to spend on something I Might use . at 50.00 dollar price tag there's no risk or guilt if i dont use it alot or I find its to much effort, the up side if i like it i can buy 4 more for the price of the go pro and have multiple set ups on the boat standing by t top view underwater view on a pole or what every you want

this is the best deal around and the quality is great, a couple buddies have their boats outfitted with 4 of them for the price of one go pro.

plus you can get different colors, and set them up with diffrent views/video options so you get a multiple of shots

like the blue one goes in the front mount, pink one goes on landing net.

once you set em up the options are endless.

one buddy has em running off a battery so he can film the whole day without having to change batteries, so cool options

gonna be interesting to see if go pro can hang onto its market share as more of these cheaper (and really good) versions get more popular. I have one made by midland usa and its super easy to use and you can mount it anywhere and the quality is great.

So bottom line - get a go-pro "like" camera of some sort, stay away from something like the glasses that limit you
