I had a crazy experience this summer with a ray when I was wading on a mussel bed at an inlet. Scared the crap out of me and was shaped like that. I thought it was a mutant ninja skate. Mine had a 24-30 inch wingspan I'd estimate. Maybe that was the culprit. Rmarsh 12-11-2014, 01:05 PM What kind of Ray is that? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device That's from shore. Fishing can be so funny. Usually I'm all geared up wiping out in boulderfields all night, untying eel knots etc. This night the wife wanted to drink wine with her friend so I grabbed some fresh mac and told her to call me when she wanted me to pick her up. Parked at my folks cottage, walked to the beach in bare feet and boom. Best fish of the season. I'll take it! Rmarsh 12-11-2014, 07:04 PM What kind of Ray is that? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device puppet 12-13-2014, 11:51 AM I usually report more and take more pics. This year the camera was stowed mostly. There was one outing on block that I wish I captured. The surf was unusually calm and underneath the glass was an incredible carpet of different colored mosses that were alive with life. Just all kinds of fish moving around. Although the fishing was slow and no one connected with striped bass at that spot.... that cove was very much alive. Its funny, I had been to that spot about a dozen times, yet it was the first time that I was able to see it clearly. A few months later I tried to go back but the surf was too big to see into the window. I fished with Tony Stetzko for the first time this year. Such an incredible person, angler, and artist. He is really one with Nauset. I know that it has been posted before, but Tony has been severly ill and needs our support. Anything that you can contribute to help our surfcasting brother will go a long way. Please, even if all you can contribute is $10...it would be greatly appreciated. http://www.gofundme.com/hihqog Stetzko! http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020678_zps692a1b38.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020678_zps692a1b38.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020690_zps92952351.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020690_zps92952351.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020670b_zps5f6b2e41.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020670b_zps5f6b2e41.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020747_zpsb6f621ea.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020747_zpsb6f621ea.jpg.html) photos from my season.... http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020701_zps17cc4f46.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020701_zps17cc4f46.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020776_zps08b65243.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020776_zps08b65243.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020768_zps2b19cda3.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020768_zps2b19cda3.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020822_zpsec002583.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020822_zpsec002583.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/PA030544_zpsfc080f58.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/PA030544_zpsfc080f58.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/PA030586_zps240a41dd.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/PA030586_zps240a41dd.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/P1020743_zpsb4ff0ef8.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/P1020743_zpsb4ff0ef8.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/PA280757_zpsf0b81281.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/PA280757_zpsf0b81281.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/PA280746_zpseea220c3.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/PA280746_zpseea220c3.jpg.html) http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/puppetFish/PA270720_zps5a9b5092.jpg (http://s65.photobucket.com/user/puppetFish/media/PA270720_zps5a9b5092.jpg.html) Slipknot 12-13-2014, 01:56 PM NICE! here is a couple of knuckleheads ProfessorM 12-13-2014, 03:43 PM LOL.
