Then wait a bit for the ice to thaw. cow tamer 12-27-2014, 10:00 AM Wonder what would happen with a wind knot ? big jay 12-27-2014, 10:15 AM And the canal gets worse... Dont use power pro and you wont have to worry lol Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device iamskippy 12-27-2014, 01:20 PM Boy, that dumps line pretty quick. I guess you'd have to freeze your plugs in water first! Then wait a bit for the ice to thaw. Right lol i would think its chunkin only unless you could invent some kind of egg that would dis engage at the end of the launch. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Pete F. 12-27-2014, 03:44 PM Something similar to the sabots used for shotguns and muzzleloaders might work. Just a little bigger, you could probably use a leash on the sabot so it was reusable. And charge the cannon with nitrogen rather than dealing with a pump and batteries. ReelinRod 12-28-2014, 12:53 PM It's easy to impressively dump a short-spooled reel loaded with 80+lb braid. The distance claims for these things are greatly exaggerated. The only application this contraption would be good for is shark fishing with large frozen/fragile baits like a whole herring or 1/2 a mackerel or bunker. The need to keep the pre-rigged bait and sinker frozen necessitates a powered freezer or dry-ice. Really, for this thing's price tag, just get a decent distance set-up and learn to use it. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
