Went to Freeport and LL Bean this week. Bought tons of good stuff but that wasn't the best part.

Took a lesson shooting Sporting Clays and took another on Flycasting. Both were EXCELLENT!! :)

I really had a good time. I already new basic flycasting but by the time I was done with the lesson I was double hauling! Definitely a good time shooting the clauy pidgeons too.

I would recommend going up there before Labor Day and taking some of the 'Walk-On" lessons. They offer lessons in Archery , kayaking , shooting and Flycasting.

I took the flycasting lessons there too while the woman walked the shops. I was the only one who signed up so I the teacher all to myself. He had me on those casting pools quick. The guys was great. He'd be pretty disappointed if he saw me now:smash:

I'll check it out next Saturday on my up to "Brooklyn, ME"

Can't go north without a Dunkin Donut stop and a LLBean stop.
It's like a right of passage.

LL Bean used to have an outlet store in Ellsworth, gateway to Bah Hahba. They had good deals on overstocks and returned merchandise. If it is still there.

I went to Bowdoin and lived 8 minutes from LL bean.....

My nordic Ski coachs (brothers) worked for them as well as did funded expeditions for them in the world of Mountain Climbing...they were nuts

Great thing about LL Bean.....they let us college kids camp overnight inside the store in the their tents that were already set up...great fun when that place is lockdown and the lights are out!

learned to fly-cast from their "casting experience" class.
well worth it.

I have not been into their rebuilt hunting--fishing building, formerly L.L.Kids.
