Slipknot 01-09-2015, 10:45 AM we had Poland Springs delivery yesterday = 6 - 5 gallon bottles of slush, and that was in the morning, I wonder what the afternoon deliveries looked like by then
I hate the gas bill a month after this kind of cold.
I have to postpone any painting also, can't spray if the heat can't keep up with the exhaust fan
stripermaineiac 01-09-2015, 09:00 PM Oh so true on the painting
Raven 01-10-2015, 07:31 AM running two oil filled heaters
one that's close to where i sit
as it's easier to heat the body
than the whole house....
to keep the oil furnace from constantly running
the other OFH oil filled heater is parked near
the oil furnace "thermostat" to fool it into thinking
the room temperature is above 70 degrees.
this conserves oil and it only runs when the internal
thermostat makes it kick on to heat up hot water.

we have found that using the oil filled electric heater
preserves the oil -and takes the edge off......
then you can set the thermostat LOWER where there is
a sweet spot @ around 61 degree's where it won't constantly run.
they are great for heating up towels and or bath robes
drying sweatshirts that are damp from misty rain or snow showers
JUST DON'T LEAVE THEM THERE !!!
