Thanks to everyone so far for the advice from everyone, it's been beyond helpful so far.

Here are my first creations - a danny (AYC) and an atom 40 eelskin (Basswood). I've made a few of each. they will be sealed and rigged and tested asap!

BTW - I realize i have the rear hook too far back on the 40. Do you think it will affect it?

They look great

I think the back hook on the 40 is perfect placement, won't tangle with the front hook, and doesn't catch the rear edge of the the plug.

Eelskin plugs crush btw

I purposely locate the rear hook further back than the original design to eliminate hook tangle. Many times in building , slight changes from the original design are done for personal action and swim depths. Nice swimming plug. Eelskins "rule".

Thanks guys. I was worried the rear hook being so far back would affect the action. However, if it doesn't I do prefer it to be back there so that the hooks don't tangle. Can't wait to swim these guys!

Now i need to seal and test!
