Work on the Waterfront: Recreational Fishery Surveyors Needed
Massachusetts Marine Fisheries is gearing up for the 2015 recreational fishery survey field season, and has several vacancies for field interviewers in various parts of the state including the North Shore, South Shore and Cape Cod.

Massachusetts Marine Fisheries (through AIS) is looking for people to collect biological, demographic, and economic fisheries data at coastal locations throughout MA, or aboard "for hire" party boats at sea.

Duties include:
Recording and coding data on standardized forms.
Adhering to strict sampling schedule, specific sampling times and locations, according to scientific protocol.
Submitting weekly electronic summary reports of activity.
Operating and maintaining field equipment and sampling gear.
Title: Seasonal Fisheries Technician
Part-time (20-40 hrs. week)
Shift: Variable Day and Night
Pay: $12-$14 per hour
Deadline: March 5, 2015 or until filled

Ita funny.i have seen more EP in the last week in and around various waterfronts than i have last year and years previous regardless of the time of year.

I hope i see them when the fishing starts......

They're hiring for Newport County as well. I applied 2 weeks ago, but was informed that due to my location, they had to move forward with other candidates...
