Not bad. Big zip tie with d ring a quicker solution to the usual drilling and cord/ washer/ knot route i use.
Big piece of advice i would offer is switch out the fancy pink coil thingy to the lid for an appropriate length of cord. Reason being that if you take cover off and let it hang down while u r wrestlin an eel out of it that thing is gonna hang down and become a seriuosly hazardous hassle especially if standin up to your arm pits in the surf stretching it out. Becomes a serious tangle hazard.

I run paracord: knot on the bottom, cord runs inside the canister, through the lid, knot again. You want that #^&#^&#^&#^& tangle free mf'er you trying to drown yourself?

If you ask in advance, most pizza places will happily give you the gallon jars that their pickle slices come in. The mayo jars at Steve's Pizza don't have screw on lids anymore, but the pickle slice jars do. Saves you from having to buy a gallon of mayo at the supermarket.

If anyone needs one of them gallon size jars, let me know, ChefChris "hooked" me up with a bunch of em' a couple years back

I still have a few sitting around, just figured I'd pay it forward.

Good point!

I had a cord but changed to a lanyard. It's actually red! Too much light in the pic. ;-)

The weight of the screw on top "should" not pull down the lanyard. But, to be safe, I will shorten it considerably.

If it ever got tangled, one of my two knives will resolve that problem ASAP! ;-)
