JohnR 02-26-2015, 07:54 PM I saw that, as if one more degree of cold could stop the wave midway and for once, you could shovel sand against the tide. iamskippy 02-27-2015, 06:18 AM Pretty cool Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Raven 02-27-2015, 07:38 AM whoa ...new age art! i like how the freeze pattern resembles the camo pattern on the side of a mack bart 02-27-2015, 07:48 AM Warming trend starting next week... iamskippy 02-27-2015, 08:16 AM Warming trend starting next week... Cant wait to start hitting the 50's but i will take 40 degrees any time now Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device DZ 02-27-2015, 08:32 AM I don't remember an early start last year - it was also a very cold winter that lasted through much of April. Granted not as much snow. If we get a normal spring this year things will be fine. I see temps increasing into the 30s next week - that will feel like a heat wave. Nebe 02-27-2015, 08:41 AM I'm actually enjoying all the ice on the bay. It's beautiful to look at Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device PaulS 02-27-2015, 09:20 AM 1st time I've seen my part of LIS frozen. Last week while walking on the beach I watched a woman have to go in to her knees to rescue her little mutt that she let walk on the slush. Idiot. Finaddict 02-27-2015, 12:29 PM I remember as a kid, the cove in our town that opened up to Western Long Island Sound would freeze over so that we could walk across it. Sea Flat 03-02-2015, 08:34 AM Last time Buzzards Bay froze over we had a pretty nice fishing season. At least from my recollection. Agreed, everything was a month late last year from what I remember DZ 03-02-2015, 09:14 AM I received a college baseball schedule this weekend for Salve Regina in Newport. Heavy with games from mid-March through mid-April - I can't imagine the snow pack we have in New England will disappear within the next 6 weeks, even so the mud season will be significant. This will really impact high school and college spring sports. bart 03-02-2015, 10:57 AM Beautiful out this morning. Shoveled as much as could here and at my folks' house. Stayed outside as long as I could just cleaning up. I'll take the sun! bart 03-02-2015, 11:00 AM Cant wait to start hitting the 50's but i will take 40 degrees any time now Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Next weekend, 40s and sun. Good dog-walking weather! lol Raider Ronnie 03-02-2015, 02:18 PM You may have been thinking about an early start last year but it was just the opposite.
