This has got to be one of the best fishing magazines out there today. Over the last couple years I dropped the SWS and OTW and a couple of the others. They were so repetitive I found myself not reading them and discarding them before I finished. Writing was weak and much of it was pawned off on joe sixpacks for a few bucks, who while familiar with the topic really can't write like Frank Woolner could when he wrote for SWS.

While on a tuna charter trip in Canada last fall they had Anglers Journal in the lodge. I subscribed after reading the first issue. I am loving this. It reminds me of Grey's sporting Journal...but just for fishing. If you see one on the stand...def check it out. Great writing, outstanding photos.

I have heard this before and have tried to find it to subscribe but no luck! Do you have a .com by any chance?

Keeper...yep, that's it, thanks for that post. There is a facebook page you can get the link to sign up there. I had heard about it when they first came out but totally forgot about it until I saw one issue laying on a coffee table this fall. I found this subscription link on their facebook page under " more". It is not cheap (20/yr) and it is only quarterly but what it lacks in quanity makes up for with quality. I saw one on the stand once and it was 8 or 9 bucks.

I would say it covers all types of fishing but it does lean a bit more to boat fishing.
