His older brother played in my son's era of high school, and we thought he was really good. But this kid, Malik Abu, is the real deal. Had a career game against LSU. This is a shot of him celebrating a dunk the other night. The boy has become a chiseled man in a year. And he is a true freshman. Hoping he plays well and they upset Nova tonight.

So here is the fairytale come true.... Malik plays tonight for NC State in the Sweet Sixteen round while his roommate at Kimball Union Academy, Doyle Somerby, also a Marblehead kid, is playing for Boston University in the NCAA Hockey Sweet Sixteen. How cool is that for these kids?
