View Full Version : Professor M
O.D. Mike 03-31-2015, 05:58 PM I need to thank Professor M for all that he has shared with me in the past years. The biggest thing that has changed the way my process goes is the notebook. List sizes, weights, locations for hooks, weights, eyes, slopes, and anything that will help you duplicate the first lure you have made.
I recently came up with a paint scheme that changes the way I go about painting lures. I painted three lures and waited a week to try it again. I looked at the notebook and realized I didn’t write down any of the procedures. I took me another week to figure out what I did and wrote down the steps so I could repeat the process.
As we all know, it’s not only the notebook. When you think of all of the Jigs (sanding, table saw, wire bending etc…) that he shared with SB. They make the process of building lures so much easier and more precise.

Linesider82 03-31-2015, 06:14 PM Badass paint job right there!
That is why this site is great, sound advice from quality people. I do the same and then quantify my builds in some manner. I start with the intention, then record the differences. Nothing compares to putting a plug in the right hands for honest feedback.

pbadad 04-03-2015, 06:26 AM Can't say more about the great and knowledgeable builders on this site. I've been at this obsession for over 10 yrs. Without the help, guidance suggestions from fellows like Paul, I still would be making more firewood than successful lures. Thanks to ALL!!
