The sentencing should be swift and carried out quickly. This is a fed case, he'll go to a fed jail and live off the taxpayers until he's put down. He should be put in gen pop and be left to fend for himself, but that will never happen.

I think putting him down is a must, why pay anymore then we have already, not sure "quickly" would be what I'd like to see. Too bad, there are exceptions to these terrorists, be nice to serve him up some of his own SH*T. I think a nice large field, single chair, sit the bastard down, put a pressure cooker bomb of his own design in his hand, loud countdown for him to listen to, but very long timer and one he can't get ready for. Hard to deter these wack jobs, when we promise them 3 squares a day, decent gym to work out in, library, maybe some movie nights.

Take him out back, put 2 in his head and toss him in a landfill.
And put a piece of pork in his mouth to keep the 72 virgins at bay.

We already spent over $1,000,000 on his defense, which wasn't much of a defense as much as it was to deflect. The lawyers were paid and all they did was say yup he was there and he helped but it's his brothers fault. We spent enough, bury the swine.

I hate how the media drummed up the verdict, like anyone really thought he was going to be innocent? Give me a break

Make HIM the finish line and let every single last runner stomp him as they cross...
THEN give him his punishment

some wiki factoids:

Number of Federal executions - 37 from 1927 to 2003 (34 before 1963 which was the last prior to the reinstatement of the Federal death penalty in 1988)

79 Federal cases ended with the jury imposing the death penalty since 1988 (the year of reinstatement of the Federal death penalty)

Doing the math: 3 of 79 is 4% chance of execution

Average time between sentencing and execution (overall, not just Federal) is up to about 200 months.

Should have sentenced him 2 years ago in the boat so we didn't have to go thru all this.

Good, he's guilty. like we didn't already know that.

on to the punishment phase:gorez:

But first I'd like to see Gary Sampson die, we have waited too long for that. That scum killed 3 people for no reason whatsoever and deserves to die also.

I think we got two guys here in CT that should be way ahead of anybody if you ask me.

I believe it Bob

Line em all up at once and don't waste too much ammo if it was up to me

it's just that Sampson was in my class year in school in Abington and I know personally how evil he is.

Good! Unfortunately i'm sure the appeals will cost us more time and money when we all know what needs to be done!

This guy is not worth the next breath of air he takes. These two were nothing more than the terrorists that we work so hard to defend against, and should be dealt with like any other. To watch the poor families, and people that he maimed forever, have to relive this ordeal again over the last several weeks, makes me despise him even more. A guilty verdict just doesn't seem enough, because more than likely he will sit in prison, while part of your and my paycheck will go to feeding and housing this piece of chit! If it was up to me, I'de hang him, in a tree on Boston Common, and let everyone watch. Too much?... Sorry, I just don't think this scumbag deserves another second of anyones time.

i agree with massbassman
he's a terrorist - so either send him to gitmo or execute him
asap .... without him sitting on death row for x amount of years

I work in Copley, was there that day and still can get choked up when I see certain scenes. The fact we spent so much money defending him is a joke. I emphasize quick.

Sad fact.
This guy will eat better than most of our elderly in nursing homes for the next 10 + years while the appeals waste more tax payer $

Agreed. That would have been an immediate retribution without all the legal rambling.

He will most likely end up in Colorado's Super Max in a tiny cell for 23 hours a day in solitary confinement just like the rest of the terrorists. They have a wing specially designed for him. The ex warden described it as " a dirtier version what hell actually is." He deserves worse. No matter what the end punishment is; it still won't bring back the deceased nor the limbs lost.

I always find it funny when people say,"it costs too much to kill someone via death penalty". Won't it be more expensive to pay for him to be alive in jail for 60-70 years?

I do not believe in the death penalty. I think it is too good for people like this. It is worth the $ to keep him alive and and as anguished as possible for as long as possible. Want to save $, let some pot dealers out.

Just remember as long as he is alive he has a chance to get out. Stranger things have happened.I'm sure those 5 terrorist in Gitmo never thought they'd be released.

Boy,

Seeing the news on Solitary Confinement has me a bit pissed.

I was under the impression that going in the hole was like Brubaker. No light, no bed, tray of slop shoved thru the slit in the door etc.

Guess now a days it just basically means you get your own room in the dorm.

... yeah, some vigilante or mob crowd justice could serve this cause far better ... especially if it's televised globally ... the guy gave up his rights at the point of no return two years ago ...
