I'm new to the area (live in Scituate), have a boat, and have been striper fishing the last few months.
I've read so many different methods of striper fishing, that I've become completely confused.
I started the season casting plugs (rapalas, rebels, etc) against rocks, structure, etc and had moderate success w/ schoolies.
Recently the local bait store turned me on to trolling a tube and seaworm, and I have happily caught my first keeper last week and several blues.
Last summer I went w/ friend and fly casted to pods of boiling fish on the surface (we tracked feeding birds). Is this a late season event only?
Do methods change over the course of the season?
I would appreciate advice on any other successful boat methods and places to try around my area.
Thanks in advance.
