You're right but at least I was somewhat comfortable.

I was at my marina at around 7 this AM and my truck said 39 degrees. I was just fueling up and doing some maint. so I was glad I didn't run.

Is it me or are these temps cold for Memorial Day?

Yup wind was tough, went out of SQT with a buddy to just take a first of the year cruise and maybe bottom fish. Ended up schoolie fishing inside all the harbors after pounding for a while out to KP just to she how the boat handled. Cold to!

Does SQT = Saquatucket?....and what's KP?
Just curious....new to boating and unfamiliar with the abbreviations.

Yes sorry for a revisions KP kill pond bar off Denis. We knew it would be able to fish but it was he wanted to test the boat in the conditions so we shot out and back.

10 rounds is pretty good for an old guy, doubt I could make it out of the 1st :) Don't think I will be on the water all week due to winds, doesn't seem to be any safe spots.

thanks Buzz but my knees still feel it. The good thing was I had my partner with me who is 35 and he said he was tired from the beating we took. We DID stay out for 5 hours in the crap.

You guys need real boats.
I kind of like a certain amount of wind (within reason)
Keeps all the pain in the ass little boats at home.
Fishing is usually best when it's rough out also.

I do and mine is only 21 1/2 ft, helps keep the bow down. You might just try by (over) trimming the engine.

Makes a world of difference Paul. That and autopilot for long range journeys were my two best add-on for my 20ft boat.
