Sunday evening and Monday morning are the downside of a Cuttyhunk trip.... Body is recovering, some sleep has been caught up on, but the soul is fighting the return to reality...

We had sixteen at the Club, and were joined on Saturday evening by two other groups that included Puppet and Linesider82. (the crew appreciated that fine bottle of scotch....)

Weather cooperated if the fish did not. Newcomer Al was high hook with eight fish! Stripermaineiac and Chefchris had five and four respectively. So three anglers landed 17. But shore caught total was just 23.... Much discussion on the effect of the winter, everything being late, to the state of the fishery, and whether they just don't go where they used to vs, they just aren't there...

Regardless, it was a great time. No drama, as is my mandate. Lots of ballbusting, too much good rich food, coffee pot brewing 24/7, always something to share or learn, all types of top notch rods, reels, and equipment to see, try, compare. Always good to get a challenge going as I goaded a few to see if they could cast any plug to the flag pole on the hill from in front of the porch.... I think this is the twelfth trip I have organized and I have yet another spot to target for next time... This trip is good for the soul, and this one did not disappoint there.

Thank you to all who participated and contributed. Watching first timers to the island is always a highlight. Already been to my chiropractor this morning. Will try to post a photo or two later, but I know others did a better job with their cameras and phones. I will finalize next year's booking after more consultation of tides vs moon next June. Your input on that welcome in the forum thread I will put up.

Thanks again! 360 days or so til next trip!

Had a great time, thanks Ross.
The food was outstanding, I figured I would have gained 5 pounds but only 2-1/2 so I guess I got my exercise. Thanks Chris for cooking and Warren for ribs. Also thanks Chris for giving me the chance to learn to rig eels. I caught up on my sleep, I was useless all day yesterday, now back to work.
Maybe next year we can hit the timing right, you never know.
Great seeing everyone and fishing and meeting all
