As the saying goes, only once in a blue moon do I get a chance to go do something memorable. It could be the people, the activity, a bucket list item, whatever.I had one of those last night. Finally had the weather cooperate (boy, did it ever) after previous cancellations to meet up for an overnight run off of Block Island. Westerly is quite a place, very nice. Tide was moving. Blues were in residence, big blues. We went through a lot of terminal tackle. I used a headlamp to re-tie most of the time, but the moonlight was definitely enough to "see", even in the lump. Because of the blues we ended up fishing two tides, and Cohen did locate the bass again. The dude is dialed in...Great time, great boat. Special night in the great outside, with stunning heat lightning off in the distance that lasted for hours. Mafiaman and 5/0 completed the crew. No lack of ballbusting the whole night. Hit the dock at 0345. And it was over.....
Except for the re-entry, which for me was a 2 hour nap in the Tahoe before driving home after the sun came up. I have another three under my belt now, but plan on napping through the afternoon.
One of the favorites to add to the best of 2015 for me. Thanks gents.
