On the whole, This was a nasty storm.We have about 5 inches of extremely heavy wet slush and snow,and last night got about 4 more inches of snow in fact, I thought it snowed harder last night than the day before.Now that it is all said and done,I have to say this was a mess of a storm and extremely difficult to shovel.It just took awhile to materialize.

I couldn't shovel this stuff at all and broke a brand new shovel in the first 10 minutes of trying. The stuff was like cement and was unbelievably heavy. I finally said no way and let it snow the rest of yesterday until I flagged down a plow. Cost me $40, but at least the driveway isn't a mess. I hear another storm is coming in Friday night, man bring on spring please aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

I shoveled what I could,and then had a party with the 4wheel drive and flatened out the rest!! worked great! Im sick of it and I have had enough!! That stuff was indeed like cement.

BIll, we'll look throught the Want Ads today and see if we can get a decent used one... Just hate to drop $500 for a new sno blower... (that's a Calcutta and 3 Abus ;D )

The trick was to not try whole shovel fulls. I busted my hump shoveling as fast as possible with full shovel fulls and finally decided I'd never make it (its the big one!! ) :) unless I took small shovel fulls and took my time. I went out a few times and rested in between and got it done. Oh , I think I said this somewhere before but in case you miseed it , I hate shoveling snow!!

I also didn't even attempt to shovel everything. I just shovelled what was essential and figure that in the second week of march we're vound to get a day in the high 40's or even low 50's and that will melt it. I hope. :)

I believe someone markets them for light trucks and SUVs especially for the homeowner who wants to do driveways and such. Definitely not something for someone who wants to plow for money. Unfortunately they are probably more than an snow blower. I think they have them at BJs

Yesterday I shoveled the slush and heavy stuff but this morning it was fluffy and light. Some of my neighbors didn't shovel till today and boy are they regretting it!

I invested in one of those plow attachments for the lawn tractor and plowed yesterday twice. This AM I left for work at 6:00 there was 3 more inches to plow when I got back . There was no power in Wayland today where I was supposed to work so now I gotta go back thurs. & fri. 50 miles each way. :(
The last 3 inches were not as heavy as the first 6. This snow probably doesn't bother the herring.
