I checked the weather channel website for the weather forecast for East Sandwich for Sunday night.

The forecast called for 10+mph N/NE winds.

What did we get?

15+ winds blowing due East.

I wouldn't have been as upset about the website screwing up the forecast for the thousandth time, except that the winds were throwing in 2-3' waves (with 4 footers as a special surprise)!!!

I wish the Weather Channel wouldn't suck so bad, so much and so damn constantly!!!

NOAA report, man. I use it every day. Like all weather reports it has moments of inaccuracy, but they deal primarily with wind speeds and such. Often, wind reports will change as the day progresses, so it's a good idea to check it every few hours.

WeatherBug very accurate. Even hourly for 24 hours in advance plus. Amazes me they can show clear for hours then a 30%chance of showers for an hour 10 hours out and hit it. I am a shore guy not boat but their wind and direction are very good. Bill

This is the best and most accurate. I always check more than one, especially when I'm going out on the boat

Yeah... I remember an old salt out of Gloucester saying that a 10 mph East or Northeast wind was like Santa, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny all wrapped up into one.

You can wait around all day for them, but you'll never see them!

Sailflow is great. Windfinder pretty good. NOAA sucks, TWC a joke. Im thankful I live near the water so I can just check the flags in my neighborhood.
