Just in case you have not heard. Maybe we can start a discussion on the topic. Which ones have "worked" and which ones have not.
I think Goose Island worked.

If it brings more grapefruit sculpin to my neighborhood at a lower price at the same quality I would be happy I guess. Comes out once a year.....usually releases the day after Thanksgiving so start hitting the liquor stores looking for it....don't be afraid to ask if its behind the counter. Rockport24 11-17-2015, 12:57 PM love the ballast sculpin, I wouldn't mind either if same quality and lower price!! duh! Anybody try the goose island IPA that they are promoting the chit out of right now? in the green can, its plastered on the TD Garden I get thirsty every day driving into work Nebe 11-17-2015, 02:40 PM Wow. I just read the deal is 1 Billion dollars! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device rphud 11-17-2015, 03:37 PM With that offer they may just forego the IPO. I think the thing with Goose Island was/is that the new owners took over and scaled up the "popular" Goose Island beers, and let the original guys keep making other very good, but limited volume beers. Not sure who does what in which brewery, but it seems like that worked for everybody. Per Kevin, some of these are very good. They also seem to fly under the radar screen to some degree. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device The Dad Fisherman 11-18-2015, 12:11 PM Hopefully they just take the company and leave the infrastructure in place to keep the production the same.
