View Full Version : Anybody see this on FB? Zombait!
Rockport24 12-09-2015, 11:57 AM Looks crazy, but it just might work!!

I have no affiliation with this at all, just came across it!
bobber 12-09-2015, 12:02 PM looks cute. but what happens when jaws" swallows your little motor??
Rockport24 12-09-2015, 12:03 PM Yeah definitely screwed then, I would also be worried about rigging it properly so that I don't lose the thing when a big bass hits it hard.
Slipknot 12-09-2015, 12:47 PM it should have some kind of tether so when the bait comes off the line or a fish swats it away during the fight, you don't lose it.
I wonder who will be the first to use that in the canal
All the perils of using Yo Yo rigs which many agree are not quite ethical and create a hazard to the fish when lost.
great name

bassballer 12-09-2015, 03:17 PM Ive seen it first hand in action. Pretty wild. We were playing with it dockside. Then followed out in my boat and saw it catch some fish as well.
DZ that was the first thing i said when i got on the boat. " The yoyo activists will LOVE this thing"
They should have named it the "what is that thing Jay!?!?"
Guppy 12-09-2015, 04:08 PM :1poke:So who can't keep maks alive, I've got enough problems with batteries
Rockport24 12-09-2015, 04:47 PM for kayak anglers this could be really great so you don't have to deal with a livewell or bait tube, but i use both pretty effectively.
Also - you won't get that rod tip shake that happens when the live bait freaks out before it is engulfed by a big bass, that is a all part of the fun!
Still - not a bad thing to have with you just in case its the only option
seadogg 12-10-2015, 07:16 PM Still a few holes in the concept, but interesting nonetheless. I wonder if it'll catch on.

Damn right about that. Seeing a Mac on top running nuts and then getting crashes a pissa.

tlapinski 12-11-2015, 08:37 AM It sort of walks the line between insane and genius. I'm still not sure which side it falls more towards, but it sure is interesting.
Sea Dangles 12-11-2015, 09:55 AM A friend whom I disc golf with had told me about this product months ago. He is friends with the product developer. Intriguing but not to the point I will buy it. Yet

Now with the addition of the contaminants of a battery. We have to handle batteries at work as toxic waste, and these guys are promoting feeding them to fish??? :claps:
numbskull 12-11-2015, 12:48 PM Kills any fish that breaks your line. Great.
tattoobob 12-11-2015, 02:27 PM Looks like something a Bluefish will destroy, It probably should be used with a wire leader to
thefishingfreak 12-11-2015, 05:28 PM Kills any fish that breaks your line. Great.
That could also be said with almost all plugs.
fish with yoyo gear stuck in their guts are all still alive until somebody else kills them and cuts them open

Sea Dangles 12-11-2015, 05:34 PM You forgot to add....then eats them
As far as a plug having the same effect as batteries on mortality...
You may need to sharpen your pencil,or whatever it is you think with

ProfessorM 12-11-2015, 06:19 PM There are those that will go to great extremes to catch a fish, sometimes I just shake my head. Not for me but to each his own.
seadogg 12-11-2015, 07:31 PM Like I said earlier, an interesting idea with a few very obvious flaws, and yet, the weekend warriors and dopes that can't catch will be clambering to get their hands on one of these.

OMG to funny
big jay 12-12-2015, 11:23 AM It's really intended for tuna fishing.
I can't really see anyone that hard up to catch a Striper that they will spend that kind of money.
Oh, wait...

Ditto
Rockport24 12-14-2015, 10:58 AM yeah what's funny is that it effectively has the same action as a plug, you can look at it as a very advanced eel skin plug, but its a mackerel skin!
