Bought this heavy vintage chair last year for the home computer. Snapped one of the legs the other week. Hard to see from the photo but on one leg the side seams where it's attached to the base are cracked so it bends up.

Does this look like something that could be repaired easily or given the location of the joint is it likely just going to fail again? I know this is hard to tell from a pic.

If it looks worth a shot and someone with the means (RI/SE Mass) can help fix please let me know. Thanks...

I would watch Craigslist and find a free office chair for parts or replacement.

Yes it can be fixed. Looks like stainless? you can mig it with steel wire and it will be fine. It will just rust at the weld if it gets wet repeatedly. Or find someone with stainless mig or arc setup.
If you walked into my shop carrying that I would probably weld it for under 50 bucks in about 10 minutes
