One of my favorite performers......his Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is one of my favorite albums.

I seen him twice in Providence during his early years. Was always dissapointed in his live sound but it may have been the Civic Center acoustics. That said I loved his albums. Really liked his more uptempo tracks like Panic in Detroit, TVC15, and Suffragett City.

He left some mighty big shoes to fill. Personally I believe there will never be another musician that will be able to top his career. That said I never owned a Bowie album, and never gave him much attention.

I feel the same about Prince as well.

I saw him out in Oakland w/ The Tubes opening for him...one of the best concerts I ever saw....amazing show from both of them.
