View Full Version : Canal Dredging
JohnnySaxatilis 01-20-2016, 02:42 PM About 180,000 cubic yrds of sand being dredged from the east end. I believe they should be almost done with the project as they started it earlier than expected at around Christmas. Wonder how far west they're going? And how this is going to affect the usual haunts... Interesting to me no one here's talked about it. Did a search and all I found were April fools jokes from 2009 about it lol
Guppy 01-20-2016, 05:03 PM Went over the bridge Monday and took time, went a looking for the dredge, wanted to get a look see if I could,,,
Didn't see it From the west end from the m academy.
No see looking east from sag bridge either...
ProfessorM 01-20-2016, 07:47 PM i think they dump it on sandwich beach

Think of how many jig heads and lures will be left in that sand haha
The guys with the metal detectors are going to freak out
JohnnySaxatilis 06-29-2016, 05:59 PM WELP, it certainly didn't help, not saying its the reason but a hell of a coincidence ................... Probably the worst year for the canal in a longgggg time, for me anyway
I agree. The ditch died. Last month was OK but now.........:yak5:
trevier 07-01-2016, 07:27 PM been terrible. No bait, no fish no nada.
