Nebe 02-19-2016, 03:40 PM Indian rock claims another soul. When will people learn? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device bart 02-19-2016, 05:58 PM People will never learn. The town needs to post BIG signs everywhere along that stretch in different languages. There and Jamestown. Really sad stuff. bart 02-19-2016, 06:00 PM Poor guy. Doesn't seem like he was in a good place. http://turnto10.com/news/local/coast-guard-searching-for-missing-swimmer-in-narragansett Clammer 02-19-2016, 07:01 PM I believe it was yesterday afternoon that the end started >><> JohnR 02-19-2016, 07:24 PM News is recovery mission. Apparently 2 teenager girls saw him swimming off the rocks yesterday. PaulS 02-19-2016, 08:43 PM That place scares me. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device shadow 02-20-2016, 12:27 AM Well its just a matter of using your head . Not a place to fish when the surf is slightly up... Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device shadow 02-20-2016, 12:28 AM This sounds more deliberate then an accident? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device In The Surf 02-20-2016, 12:41 AM Probably sucked into the underwater cavern, if so he never had a chance. Dropped off by a cab, leaving ID and some clothes onshore, definitely a deliberate choice. RIP bart 02-20-2016, 09:36 AM This sounds more deliberate then an accident? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device That's what the article I posted indicated, at least that's how I read it. ThrowingTimber 02-20-2016, 09:43 AM Left hotel in warwick, took cab right to hazard ave. This was no accident. It truly sucks no one close to tbe dude saw the signs. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device bloocrab 02-20-2016, 11:35 AM Not that suicide is EVER an option, but this would definitely NOT be the way to do it. On the same note, a Local man set fire to himself and perished recently....another sad tragedy...:( Mike P 02-20-2016, 12:29 PM Drowning is supposedly not an unpleasant way to check out, although at this time of the year, hypothermia would kill you first. Dick Durand 02-21-2016, 09:30 AM Sad indeed. Today's ProJo reported the body washed up on a Jerusalem beach. Clammer 02-21-2016, 09:43 AM DD J/B ??? That would mean the body floated or he swam ?? south for miles .then in the east gap up the channel & landed on the west shore in the pond . seems like to be way off or at the very least a very long distance in a short period of time ???? ivanputski 02-21-2016, 09:51 AM In 2007 a couple fell in along the blackpoint stretch while watching the noreaster waves. 3 days later, if i remember correctly, one of the bodies was recovered near the great island bridge. Seems like thats where they get carried to. Always a bummer to hear. That stretch has claimed so many lives in one way or another, an it will continue to do so unfortunately. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Dick Durand 02-21-2016, 05:09 PM [QUOTE=ivanputski;1094017]In 2007 a couple fell in along the blackpoint stretch I remember that like it was yesterday. Fishing that stretch was eerie as the couples' friends and family kept a vigil for several nights until both individuals were recovered. Clammer, I was equally surprised to hear about the discovery of the body that far removed from Hazard Ave. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
