My wife and I went out to eat Saturday night and left my 3 yr old with the Nanna and Pappa Bomba. We picked her up after dinner and my mom didn't look so hot (she has been feeling crappy for about a month) On the drive back to the house my daughter said "nanna fell down tonight" By the time we got home (>10 minutes) my dad called and said she was on the way to the ER in an ambulance. I guess she passed out a few times after we left. CT scans came back OK but she continues with serious full body tremors like I have never seen. She has lost about 20# in the last month, horrible dry heaves daily, no appetite, low blood pressure, low potassium. Possibly Addison's disease? They are not sure. Anyway, I believe in the power of prayer. I know there are some good prayers on this site. Thanks in advance

I talked to her this AM. She's doing a little better and hopes to be out of the hospital by sometime tomorrow.

As someone who's been in the hospital a lot (and will be again soon), it's so tough to get rest when you've been admitted. Someone is visiting you every two hours, no matter what you do.

The good news is all the heavy hitters all work on the weekdays, so if there's a problem, they should know relatively quickly.

She had that cold that everyone (at least at my shop) has had (they call it a viral respiratory infection that triggers an asthmatic response), so for 6 weeks she's been battling it hard.

I think she'll do well when she gets home and gets a couple good days of rest. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes!

That thing is NO joke Ricky. I have a friend who suffered through it expecting it to pass like a "normal" cold,,, but it progressed terribly. He seeked medical help a little too late and had to be subjected to an induced coma....they pulled him out of it hoping he had gained the advantage, but unfortunately is back into the induced coma.
Praying that when he comes out of it this time, it didn't take a life-long toll on his overall self-being. He's still in the ICU

Happy to hear they cleared your mom and sent her home.

i once had to drive a co-worker home who was sick
why he even came to work i'll never know
next day i had the shakes so bad it was like being in a paint shaker machine
but in time .....it all went away....

I hope your Mom continues to Improve and feel better .

Thanks for the good thoughts. Please keep them coming. She is still in the hospital and there has been no real diagnosis yet. I have been there every day, and minimal gains have been noted daily. Thanks again!

She's doing a lot better and going to an aggressive rehab for a few days to get her back to hardcore walking.

She's close to being ready to be home.

Great News guys, I'm hoping for the best

Yeah, those prayers must have helped. From the 3rd to the 7th, things really went North. She actually walked without assistance today. Thanks for the good thoughts. I started to get really nervous when she was talking about all of the PR kids riding their tricycles on her floor at two in the morning. She stuck with that story for three days. It's funny to joke about it now she is doing much better physically and totally lucid. Thanks again, prayers work sometime. She might be home by Sunday if she stays on track.

She's still working hard. I think she plans to be back home on Tuesday.

Just in time for #^&#^&#^&#^&y to have his knee replaced and my back drilled again.

They say things come in 3s. Hopefully, this will be the last of it.

Looks like she's getting out Monday AM. Thanks to everyone who rooted/prayed/etc for her. She really sounds good and is itching to get back home.
