This forum needs some life. Opening day is only a month away and we need some chatter about what I think will be an exiting year for the Beantown loyals.

Time to start airing your thoughts about stuff like our new big money pitcher, or our new prospect at 1B Hanley Ramirez, who could be the most memorable man to the beantown faithful on the hot corner since the likes of "Stone Fingers Stuart" aka "Dr Strangeglove". Hope Hanley does a little better because on the other corner Kung Fu man might need all the help he can get.

The outfield should be exciting with Jackie Bradley and Mookie playing out there together. What you guyz got?

I am all in on this team. Went to the game the other night and was great! 30 hits combined. Bats are on fire. Playing the game the right way and enjoying it. A real team!

I just saw you guyz post. After this thread was dormant for so long.. This is going to be a great team to watch!! And how about Big Papi getting it done at age 40. Hopefully Price has found his rhythm now and we could be in for a lot of fun this year. Steven Wright has been a great surprise for us too!!!

A tough weekend for the Sox out in Texas. Texas is good this year and have been playing well but this series and actually last week kind of shows some of our vulnerabilities. Sox could really use some more pitching and it will be interesting to see what they do if they want to contend.

You ain't kidding!! I can't understand how a Buchholz can go from looking unhittable to getting clobbered so quickly. I'm not sure anybody else does either. Just was reading that there's not much in the pipeline down in the minors either.

Rick Porcello. He's still young, and the next five years he can develop into a top quality PITCHER. He can crank it in the 90's, but he's not a thrower. He's a PITCHER. He has a good arsenal of pitches. He can be a bulldog and is developing into one who doesn't give in to the hitter in desperation, but PITCH his game regardless of the trouble he may have gotten into.

I was so pissed when the Tigers traded him. He was one of my favorites. I think you guys got way best of the deal. I'm still pissed. And still follow his progress. I find myself rooting for the Sox now, especially if he's pitching.

Of course, one pitcher does not a champion make.

I hope your right Detbuch there have been times when he's looked really good. Maybe just needs some time.
Hopefully the friendly confines of the home park get things back on track this weekend.

He is the least of our worries to be honest. Friggin 200 million dollar man worries me. I have given up on Buckhole. Thing that sucks is we will need to rape the farm teams to get some arms and so we will never see some of the kids make it to the big boy team and there are a few that have very promising futures.

Pomeranz ??? I know we're a little myopic here sometimes in the AL East, especially with NL players but I honestly know zero of this guy. Hope it's just me that doesn't know much and this guy can help the rotation.

Anything is better than BUTTOLTZ !!! I am happy we got this Pomegranate guy!

Pomeranz pitched in the All Star Team, Buck isn't good enough to pitch in Middletown Little League game.

Go SOX!

Last night was the second time this season they were down by 1 in the bottom of the 9th........bases loaded with no outs.......and couldn't even tie the game or win.........omg...........not good.

Easily was the hardest thing to watch this season minus the 21-2 game a couple weeks ago.

Can't believe we let this thread slip down the page, but now that we're back tied for first with the Jays and we can smell the scent of October baseball, it's time to resurrect this. Bucholz has looked really good his last couple of outings as he's seemed to make some technical adjustments to his arm position to give his off speed pitches more movement, and Porcello has been great, Wright comes back this week too. If we can only get some consistent bullpen help anything could happen this fall.
There's certainly some uncertainty with all the road games but this is going to be a fun few weeks to watch.

Hope I didn't put a jinx on em. :fishslap: Since I made the last post they dropped 2 close ones. Looking forward to seeing how Steven Wright does tonight coming back from IR and back at Fenway too.

Swept the Yanks 4 straight. What a weekend!!!! :wiggle: (Hope my ole pal DZ doesn't read this.. :hidin: cause I think the Sox may have all but mathematically knocked the resurgent Yanks out of the wild card with only two weeks left in the season)

Wow they looked great in Baltimore too. Magic No is now 5. Apparently the're putting playoff tickets on sale today. I would've waited for that though, don't want to mess with the Mojo they've got going.

New season starts tonight with Porcello opening up the series against Bauer. I don't know much about how the Indians are right now other than I heard their starting pitchers are nursing some injuries. This should be a good series though with the Sox facing Tito's crew. I always liked Francona and think he does a great job with personnel.

The bats were kinda cold lately....hope they heat up for the play-offs. Pitching has been pretty solid....w/ the exception of Kimbrel, as of late. Hope he screws his head on straight for the play-offs

Kind of what I expected, meaning close game.
Nothing like the spanking the Rangers got from Toronto!
