I have this jig I have used for years. It attaches to both a sewing machine motor and any electric motor as seen in the pictures. Well worth the money for anyone wishing to shape their own cork grips, or making rods for others. $50.00 plus shipping if its not sold nearby.

For anyone who may not know, the rod butt is placed onto the jig and secured with tape of some kind. The length of the rod is secured in the rod wrapping jig one uses when wrapping thread onto the rod blank. After turning on whatever device one uses to supply power to turn the blank you would use sandpaper to shape your cork.
