Father of six killed in the line of duty on the Mass Pike. This was posted on the CBS news page, so it should be the real deal. Maybe we can do a SB.com combined donation. I would be willing to administer if this is OK with John. I have a paypal account, so that could make things easier.

OK with me - is there a GoFundMe page?

Does not look like there is any site that directly donates to the family fund, just checks to the bank. I don't mind collecting and writing the check for a group donation. Hopefully paypal will make it easier for a bunch of folks to do this. I can PM my paypal info to anyone interested. Just post here and I will send a PM.

Be careful of GoFundMe accounts......I have been told they pilfer a high percentage of the money something like 10%.......better donate to an account where it all goes to the family!

4 percent when the person makes the donation and 6 percent when they withdraw it.

I was talking to a trooper friend the other day.
The wife & kids will be well taken care of as far as $$$.
A husband and father for the kids, thats a different story.
Sad.
