View Full Version : If the election was held today....
nightfighter 03-24-2016, 06:26 PM I don't think I could cast my vote for either of the two parties frontrunners.....
I would never vote for Hillary.
Trump's divisive nature has driven me away. And I could have been in that camp...possibly. While I can get behind SOME of his nationalist views, he scares the hell out of me. I am a lifelong right leaning conservative who can see some parallels with what rose out of the 1930s in Germany......
Totally disgusted with the lack of good choice. Hoping for something to happen this summer at the Republican convention to give an alternative.... Heck, I would be able to get behind a third party write in campaign if a worthy candidate/platform could be brought forward....
And Elizabeth Warren is still a useless POS

JohnR 03-24-2016, 07:04 PM I don't think Trump is Hilterist / Fascist (though there are hints of Il Duce).
Frankly, I think he would be horrible as President, as would Bernie. Both would likely be one termers, one through policy, one policy and health. Trump has HORRIBLE NatSec/ForPol views. Hillary has experience delivering horrible mistakes.
I will not vote for Hillary. She is the definition of political pandering hack. At l;east Bernie (for the most part) sticks to his (misguided) heart.
Kasich (not happening), Cruz, in that order.
nightfighter 03-24-2016, 07:10 PM Kasich could be that write in/third party guy for me..... But something needs to get going soon.
Raider Ronnie 03-24-2016, 07:13 PM I'm hoping Trump picks Ben Carson for VP.

Hmmmm..... there's hope for us yet....
buckman 03-24-2016, 08:04 PM I originally supported Cruz , but when he excepted the Bush endorsement, I thought , why would he do that ? Bush is the " establishment " , something Cruz claims he is not . Something just doesn't sit right with me here .
I think Trump has played the media brilliantly . He has dominated the talkshows and the news since the day he entered the race . This has been by design . I think he has the ability to work with people and I believe he will put together a tremendous cabinet .
Hillary makes my skin crawl .
Someone else mentioned this, and I have to agree Elizabeth Warren is despicable .

The establishment can now get behind Cruz and have a small chance, or not get behind Cruz and have the fuster cluck of a convention it is going to have.
Trump talks crap he has no idea of and people lap it up.
scottw 03-25-2016, 03:36 AM Trump talks crap he has no idea of and people lap it up.
it's an art form is it not?....it appears to be what we expect form our politicians...Obama has been doing the same for 7+ years.....Bush, Willy......we live in a state that repeatedly elected Patrick Kennedy and Lincoln Chaffee was actually thought to be in the mix for the democrat nomination......it's pretty bad out there :uhuh: the greatest experience/talent most politicians have is "talking crap they have no idea of"....I think that's the definition of bureaucrat
bu·reau·crat
[ byoor- uh-krat]
NOUN
1. an official of a bureaucracy.
2. an official who works by fixed routine without exercising intelligent judgment.
Rockport24 03-25-2016, 09:04 AM I think this country needs someone like Trump, but I also agree that he is too divisive and that is just always going to work against him. Maybe, just maybe though, he can knock off this BS and turn it around, but it may be too late.
spence 03-25-2016, 09:18 AM Guys, Clinton is going to win...just get over it.
Jim in CT 03-25-2016, 09:29 AM Guys, Clinton is going to win...just get over it.
The latest national polls don't show her beating anyone except Trump. I think she clobbers Trump in a Mondale-like rout. I still think she beats Cruz, but it will be closer. And fortunately for me, I will take comfort (very small, temporary comfort) in watching either one of them (Cruz or Trump), club her like a baby seal over her ethical lapses which everyone on the planet, minus you, concedes exist.
Are the results of the FBI investigation supposed to come out before November?

She couldn't even beat Sanders without super delegates . Fact

She may be the next president but not because she won.
The election is rigged.

Why do you think the super delegates wan't Clinton? This isn't hard...
Rob Rockcrawler 03-25-2016, 05:32 PM I think Hillary is going to be the winner. Not something i am looking forward too. I really like Kasich, seems like a decent enough guy that could actually get some things done. Trump, Cruz or Hillary will be another 4 years of nothing getting done in congress. Too much partisan BS, the right hates Obama, but that aint nothing compared to the Clintons.
I think the senate should just confirm Obama's pick for the supreme court since i would bet all my afterhours plugs that Hillary's nomination will be a hell of a lot more liberal.
