UserRemoved1 07-31-2003, 08:26 PM toona splashes or bombs? gf2020 08-01-2003, 09:25 AM Scott sent mine out real quick and they look great! I think they look almost too nice to throw in the water! I'm sure I'll get over that. Big'un 08-01-2003, 10:40 AM No - Tuna caught with one. UserRemoved1 08-01-2003, 02:11 PM hmmm THAT would be cool as I haven't seen any footballs yet have you? Bleedem Quick 08-01-2003, 04:00 PM These toona bombs sound so fraudulent they should be reported to the better business buro. If the only reason that htey have'nt caught fish is cuz fish ain't in yet this year, then they weren't fished last year or for the ten or fifteen years prior and compared in hard testing with everything else that's out there. Trolling, plugging, casting, it don't matter. Every lure makes a different bubble profile in the water and every lure has a different action (and both change with changed speeds and retrieves). I mostly only fish live these days cuz footballs don't pay, but I have trolled up and cast to enough tuna to know that people don't know why tuna hit what they do, only tuna know. Some stuff works and some stuff doesn't. It don't matter how good an idea or design you think you have. UserRemoved1 08-01-2003, 04:24 PM Hey Bleedem if you think they're fraudulent then so be it. They're real, they're designed for big fish, and they use colors we and others have had tremendous success with. Now...if YOU think you can do a better job at it for $16.00, $9.00 worth of material, and 2 hours work APIECE then I will invite you to come HERE and show ME how to do it....you seem to know more than all here? Christian 08-01-2003, 05:02 PM way to go salty. bleedem quick, #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& is 10 times cooler than you are, dont go dissing anyone like that. i dont like you. likwid 08-02-2003, 12:27 AM Bleedem probably wouldn't know how to catch tuna unless they jumped in the boat for him. Funny, some of us on the south shore have no issues on figuring out what they're hitting. Whats your excuse? UserRemoved1 08-02-2003, 07:19 AM I got a good chuckle on bleedies post last nite....BBB that's a good one :D Wanna laugh? Search his profile, every post here is on toona fish so he MUST be an expert :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: Hi Adam :bshake: :bshake: :fishslap: :fishslap:     MakoMike 08-02-2003, 09:58 AM Salty, You have any pics of the bombs? They're setup as poppers, 3.5 oz so they will sink, if you work em like poppers they will stay on top other wise they sink and you can use em as jigs. I can't tell what the nose shape is.. Cupped What is the weight? 3.5 oz Thanks in advance buddy. They look GOOD !!!!! Thanks! These were done before I found the new finish, so the next batch later this year/next year will have the new finish on them and they'll look even better! Bleedem Quick 08-04-2003, 10:29 AM Sorry, guys, i was grumpy that day. Didn't mean to attack a guy personally. I have just seen too many fly by nite artists back when i was a kid reading the ads in Saltwater sportsmen and F&S and stuff. I think tuna fishing is harder than it looks and harder than some people who have early success think it is, expecially if you look at it as a game over many seasons. My fifteen year old found this web sight for me a couple months ago and i like most of the talk but i don't stop my self getting annoyed sometimes. good luck with the plugs. Mr. Sandman 08-05-2003, 03:15 PM Salty (et al), I just got my toona bombs. Thanks! IMO these are some of your finest plugs. I have to say these look pretty damn nice...esp for the $. For some reason I was expecting something of a lighter grade but this is a rock solid plug. I may even use it with my big surf rod on those gale days. I have never seen a triple split ring like that. Heavy stainless hooks and wire...no bothersome belly hook, ass weighed but not overly so, tied and epoxied hackles that won't fall off on the first fish... this is a more of a "Meat-Plug" to cast with your "meat stick". I am quite happy with them and will (hopefully) put them to the test as soon as this crappy weather clears. :) Thanks! P.S. when you make you next batch... I would like to order a custom thing or two...will pay extra for your efforts. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
