My wife and boys are asking for a spring fishing trip, my wife is hoping to make a weekend out of it, in late May or June. I was thinking about of 1 of 2 options...never done either one, would love to know what you all think...

(1) a striper/flounder combo around Boston Harbor. I haven't caught a winter flounder in God knows how long, would love to experience it again. Not sure how good the fishing for flounder really is? I gather it's made some kind of comeback in those parts?

(2) a striper/sea bass combo in Buzzards Bay. Sea bass might be my favorite bottom fish to eat, I love it on a blackened sandwich, and you guys here helped me come up with a dynamite chowder recipe that is absolutely amazing.

What do you think?

Thanks!

Mother's day to father's day is prime bass/flounder time in the harbor. Usually if the bass fishing is good the flounder fishing is good as well.
Plan for Sunrise mackerel and bass outside the harbor , then bbq & flounder fish while you eat lunch inside.

Flounder fishing is pretty good in the harbor nowadays. Certainly not like the hay days but the fish are bigger now and a limit is pretty easy. Either of those trips should be excellent with your timetable. Shoot me a pm and I'll give you some more info
