Nice! Caught in the pond I grew up fishing.
Great news. The old record was suspect.

was that pig caught at toigue?
its going to be published with dem where it was caught once official so I don't think this would be considered spot burning

if you caught a 11.2 would you tell [where]
IMO I would be rEALLY surprized if it came out of Tiogue / there are afew places very close to that hold bigger fish ><

Johnson's pond aka Flat River Resavoir. The place is huge, no spot burn.
Place has many large LM and pike.

Not likely, just like the MA record wasn't ever caught in the pond it was suggested it was caught in, but I know from talking to several not only what body of water it was caught on; but on what and where. The herring run feeding this pond makes for big fish and I caught a 9.2, the 6.5 shown alongside it, a 5.5 and 4.5 on about a dozen casts prefishing for a bass club tournament back in maybe 1980. I didn't have a camera with me, but was lucky enough to run down to the other end and find a shore guy who was kind enough to snap this photo and then I ran back to where I caught them to release.
Of course didn't we get about 6" of rain that week and the winning weight ended up being 2.5 lbs, so much for pre-fishing when mother nature has a hand in it. I've hit that same spot every year I freshwater fished about the same time of year when the herring were moving in and never duplicated it again, but boy wasn't it a fun day. I saw a friend drop one that possibly was in the 12lb class on a connected body of water, the mouth was just massive, but he shook loose near the canoe.
