I just bought a new fish finder. It is a Eagle SeaFinder 320 DF the same as a Lowarnce X81.
A buddy of mine has the Lowarnce and says he loves it!! He payed $299.00 for his. I got mine for $239.00 at Boaters World today.

Has anyone else got one of these? and how do you like it?

won't be to bad, I just rewired th whole thing when I did the conversion so I have a place to run everything. I built that in when I did the job. I said wht is going to happen when I want to add something?? So I left a way to do that with out to much hassel.

It was tight on the new boat, with my dad being 6'4 and me 5'11 but all the yelling and grunting of trying to contort our bodies in the boat it was all worth it once it was all done and we took her out for a nice long ride for the first time :)

macojoe

Hey they make that an option so they need to stand by it no matter what!! Maybe you can ask the tec how to do it and see if you did anything wrong? Maybe it is a bad transducer??

If you are oing it just for fun then go to cahatam and wire jig out front of the chatam light. You will catch!! Chatam has a bunch of small fish with a few big ones throw in. Slugo's work well. Lots of dog fish so don't let it sit still!!

trailer

macojoe

Well then stop crying and start fishing!! Thats what they make ytrailers for!! I trailer all over the place. I go from Yarmouth to Falmouth for all the Fluke trips. Then when I was camping in Warham I bring my boat and ntrailer from there. It is 25 miles from the camp site to Falmouth. I trailered to Sicutit yesterday that is a 10 mile hike, same 10 miles to barnstable harbore. I also go to Chatam all the time.
You got to go where the fish are!! Just ask and people will tell you where they are.
You can get bass almost anywhere with a boat in early AM or PM. Hook it up and get going!!

Chatam, billings gate, Vinyard sound They are everywhere!! Fish the drop offs at middle ground with live scup, or jig with a green or black jig and wire in the early am on middle groud. Go out of ryders cove in Chatam and go thur the cut and jig the same way out front by the light.
Go out of sisutit and go north till you see all the boats, then start tube and worm or jiging You can go out the Sandwhich basin and get to billings gate but it is about a 14 mile run.

There you have it now catah fish!!!!!!

ML, like macojoe says, you've got to move around. You can't just fish the same areas all the time. I went out with a buddy this morning and we trailered the boat close to 35 miles each way just to get to some of those spots that MJ mentioned and you're a lot closer.
I also noticed in an earlier post from you that you guys head to the ramps at noon, fight for parking spots, then go out. My friend, if you're going to catch decent fish, you've got to get up a lot earlier than that or fish the evening tides. I was on the water at 5:00 AM today, got 5 fish between 25-32 lbs and a few smalls thrown in to boot. Then a few Fluke to top things off. You live in a good area as a starting point. Take advantage of it.;)
Get out there and good luck.
