Will be heading out to Falmouth this week with my Father-in-law and two Sons, ages 14 and 12. Just wondering how the bass, blue, bonito and fluke bite are doing? I usually take the boat out of Waquoit Bay and fish the Hedge Fence area when I visit Falmouth. Any suggestions and keeping my boys and grumpy father-in-law in fish will be greatly appreciated.

Catch an early tide for Stripers. Then, after you catch the skunk (very slow right now) head out for some Fluke and or Scup. The bite on those two are very good now. It'll at least keep the boys busy.

Thank-you BigBo, will heed your advice.
Keeping the boys and gramps into fish will be the number one priority.

I live on Waquoit Bay. If you are interested in keeping fish on the line, I'd fish Hedge Fence, just as you thought. Go out early in the AM and troll the rough side of the rip in 15 feet of water. I use Fast Track rebels because they allow me to troll a bit faster then usual. Try a couple different colors. The downside to the plugs is that they get smashed up pretty easily. After 10 fish or so you'll probably need to replace the lure. You'll catch 20 bluefish for every 1 bonito. Also I wouldn't go above 15 pound test for line and don't use a leader. try the line right to the plug. Good luck.
