What are the 3.5 oz made out of these days? Eastern White Pine?

That's a good guess. They posted a photo a while ago but it was hard to tell.

I think if you're making a few epoxy sealed red cedar will give you similar results.

sugar pine was their usual species but white pine will work fine.

couple years ago they was at Bass Pro, i asked and was told Sugar Pine.
