Lucky bass once , but not twice ;

Dennis caught this bass to day .......nothing big around 16# ................ But had a completely healed scar on both sides ./near the gill plate no less ...spear gun .

I,ve seen & caught alot of Tautog with speargun scars ./Holes ,,, But this is a 1st ........ if this fish was only 35-36now / we were wonder what size it was back when it was shot at .......... sure couldn,t have been too big ><>"

Looks kind of nasty to be completely healed Clammer.

Beamie / that,s the photo .it was completely healed /their was growth over it ..

Probably flesh healed over but not scales, or not the slime coat which would have prevented the growth from attaching to the skin.
