We took saturday night off from fishing. Only good lesson finally learned, when the fishing is not happening, go drink away the pain of not catching. From what I heard from Slingah and others, nothing was missed??? Only thing caught was a ton of weeds.
The fish are real spotty to non existant.
we went up and down every cliff through the hollows Sunday night only to walk to the waters edge and find it unfishable. With all the hill climbing we did, we probably climbed half way up Mt Washington. There are just about as many fish up there as there seems to be on the back side. We eventually found some fishable water, but no fish. For the 6 of us fishing, 1 36" fish was caught, and that guy walked to Timbuktu to get it. I only walked 3/4 of the way there. Another guy I talked to had walked the back beach to High head with out a touch, not even a blue fish. So where ever the fish are, I nor any of the other people I talk to on the beaches seem to know where they are......Any theories as to why the fish don't seem to be around? From what I hear, the boats are still hammering off the Vineyard and Nantucket. Water temp? There's too much bait? They figure there is so much bait out deeper that they don't need to come in to the beaches to feed? I wish I could figure it out. Its killin' me...........
