Hi,

What is the name of the rest. across from the red parrot? 3 floors - outside decks on the 2nd and 3rd? Pretty much 1 block after you come on lower thames maybe before ben and jerrys.

Thanks

A bit expensive but my new favorite rest. in Newport.

Use to be scale and shells - no more.

It used to be Salas's. Man I miss that place. Best white clam spaghetti ever. You ordered it by the pound. :hihi:

My favorite place to eat is Pour Judgement. The beer list is great and the food is off the hook.

I was at scales and shells last week. four of us. Ordered a clam Pizza as an appetizer. 15 minutes later they said they couldn't do it. 15 more minutes later they came back to tell me they were out of the mako shark that I ordered. i then ordered swordfish . The swordfish was 28.95 on the menu. When the bill came it was 31.95. The pizza was also on the bill.. I told them about it and they said that they would take the pizza off the bill and that they increased their price but hadn't updated the menu. They took the bill, came back and had taken the pizza off but left the two swordfish on the bill at 31.95. i again said that the swordfish was 28.95 on the menu and the waitress said we forgot to update the menu. She expected me to pay the extra 6 bucks for 2 sword fish. I laughed at them.

The Brick Alley Pub has a Newport Jerky Bloody Mary on their menu. Our hot sauce, our jerky on a skewer and rimmed with bacon salt from our store. They are family owned from town and have a huge menu that includes an awesome salad bar.

I can vouch for the Newport Jerky Bloody Mary. It's really, really good. And they also have a pretty good patty melt and NY sirloin.
