Rockfish9 08-12-2016, 09:06 AM With the tides building towards the full moon and the bulk of the incoming tide in the dark next week...plan of doing some bass fishing..
I know it's only August.. but .. I've started getting ready for the ice fishing season... I need to put the finishing touches on a trailer I built for the Wheeler because I bought a new truck in June and don't want to carry it in the bed any longer...

tattoobob 08-13-2016, 08:34 AM Family stuff all weekend, plus chores mixed in
Install the new battery in my truck camper to
go with the new solar set up, get ready for 2
months of weekends beach fishing Plum Island
fish raptor 08-14-2016, 12:55 AM Heading out on the boat for a long weekend for me and a new friend on the south side of the cape. Fishing Saturday, Sunday and monday. Destinations to be determined a day or so prior after reviewing the most recent Intel. Prolly hit a bunch of spots, planning on burning a fair amount of fuel looking for signs. Know the Albies/Bonito are beginning to show up around M.V. so maybe we'll get lucky. A little casting with the light spinning gear along with some trolling. Win, loose or draw we're gonna have fun...hoping the seas will be forgiving.

Dick Durand 08-14-2016, 05:54 AM Some surf casting and otherwise avoiding the heat as much as possible. I did see a few meteors early yesterday morning.
Rob Rockcrawler 08-14-2016, 08:00 AM 5 hours of casting in soco yesterday for hardtails with nothing to show for it. A few small flocks of terns bombing but no fish to be seen.
nightfighter 08-14-2016, 09:02 AM Watching hometown neighbor marathoner Shalane Flanagan, answering radio calls from boats looking for bait reports, all from the comfort of my air conditioned den!
I did the marathon yesterday searching for bait, unsuccessfully. Back to night time this week I hope.
JohnR 08-14-2016, 09:45 AM I did not see any meteors but I did dodge some lightning bolts while driving (felt like that anyway )
