Any plans by anyone for a get-together. Used to be a regular

Would love to as well ;) - I am working most weekends - though have some flexibility. Would South County be too far?

What ever it takes to make it work,we'll travel south, pretty soon it'll be snow flakes & shovels and we will regret we didn't do it.
So let's pony up like we did years ago and make this gig happen.

8th I will make it happen on my end "not on call" that week,Beaver tail would be nice but we don't want any kids getting sucked into the surf that might defeat the purpose of a family get together...

But then again it would be approved by redlite.

Bump for some Love

Is a Sunday workable? I have Scout events on both Sat October 8 and 15. Weather permitting we could bring a TV and watch the Pats on the beach, fishing and BBQing

From what I am reading the best date is Sunday, Oct. 16. Let me suggest a spot that was successful a few years ago in, I believe,
Westport, MA., or was it Tiverton, RI? It had a gentle south facing beach with lots of parking immediately behind it. Good for BBQ, and watching a baited rod or two. Safe beach for kids. East Beach, Charlestown, RI, might be a bit too far.
If someone remembers the name of the beach mentioned above please
name it in this post. I will try to keep a list of those who confirm and what they are bringing, or should we just do our own pot luck. Help
me on this and we will have a great time.
Look forward to seeing everyone missed at 2016 TFCTFN.

Yea, but then you have to have someone who knows how to start a fire.

East beach is central to the waters from Watch Hill to Narragansett including breachways, cliffs/rocks and salt ponds.

East Beach or Westport is good for me - like to have the cookout and something for the kids ;)

I'll bring a couple scouts - they can light the fire - they just use dryer lint and purell ;)

JOOOOOOOOOhnny - no toes were injured nor stepped on ;)

I got your call - just been flat out at work

Just to confuse things, togfest, if there is to be one, might be on the 22nd or 29th (yet to hear from the big guy :-) Niko),,, could these two events happen on the same day,, westport tog morning, hit the beach for cookout/lunch at noon, or anyplace that can acomodate both , NG Bay ?,,, ya never know, someone may get lucky and cook tog. ;-) :rotflmao:

Interesting thought but those towing boats will probably not want to tow to a cookout after. I have just been informed by the bride that Saturdays are out because she is working which means for me I must do the Scout stuff.

Sunday the 15th? How is the beach fishing typically for kids around then at Lil Compton?

The westport ramp is a hop skip and a jump from Horseneck , don't know how accommodating for a fleet or the above,,,

Compton was easy, Joe (Maco joe) made it, I'll bring him if he can handle it....

I'm good for either the 16th or the 23rd. The 23rd is the Steelers game at 4, so I'd like to see some of that at home.

Okay,
Seems we have found a place and a date. Let's get a list going here and
we can handle rest as it comes along. This to be family so let's start
gathering about noon and we can do pot luck except the Boss who will do his famous Brats (woof. woof) for which we will need a gas grill. Anyone who can bring a gas grill in his pick-up say so here.
I also suggest a 6" folding table for food and a smaller one for portable TV so we can watch game. Pot luck means enough for yourself and a
little extra to share plus paper goods and drinks.
Let's create a list after this post just to get a round figure of adults and
kids. If weather is sunny and warm we should have a ball.
Sign up here. Boss, can you pin this?
