When parking your truck at the launch, please be sure of a few things: High Water Mark - always park above this line
Emergency/Parking brake set - never know when the tranny will allow a slow roll
In opposing gear (standard) or Park (auto) - sometimes the parking brake slips
Effectivity of brakes - you just might end up sliding in with your boat and trailer some day
What brings me to remind you of these points?
Some poor soul found out yesterday on Morrissey Blvd that one or all of these items matter. As I drove by last night about 6:20 I saw the top 20" of a pickup sticking out of the water. And a tow truck sitting there possibly waiting for the tide to go back out.
I hope it wasn't someone on this board. I would have turned around for pictures but didn't want to miss a night out with the misses and without the kids!!

I wonder if maybe the stripers were casting trucks trying to lure in one of the fishermen....
