What started years ago as a Wednesday night club tackle swap where some guys showed how to rig sluggos and load redfins, has grown into a truly enjoyable show that has something for everyone. Just a great time.

We have commercial vendors - for those looking for rods, custom plugs, reels, surf bags, bucktails, surf jackets. We have member tables selling used tackle and plugs at low prices. We have an amazing lineup of short seminar speakers- which alone is worth the drive. Dennis Z. Peter Jenkins and even Charlie Soares on fishing with Danny Pichney.

We have demonstrations of plug turning, how to restore and re-wire beat up plugs, fly tying, tying ducktails and other how-to demonstrations. We have guys you know from SB that you can meet and get out of the house and talk fishing. And there is good food

The show is again at the Clinton CT Town Hall rear entrance and this year the show is an hour earlier this year-open to the public at 9am and over at 1:30.

We could have grown the show to be like a Jersey Shore Surf Day but we like the size it is - big enough to attract the top commercial vendors but small enough that it feels like big family get together.

The Show is sponsored by Rivers End Tackle this year. See the flyer I posted for the vendors- Yes Tom White-Commando Surfcasting is coming with some product- Zeebaas will be there to answer questions on the Company, Mikes custom plugs for sale, Linesider 69, Goo Goo Man, Tank, P Bau, Fatty Lures, High Hook, Phase II, and others will be there.

So please come for a real good time- and as Jerry Garcia might say:

"Whoa! One good ride from start to end
I'd like to take that ride again, again!
Might as Well, Might as well. Might as well. Might as WELL!"

Come stop by my table say hello- Rob Cohn

Is it members only to set up a table? Might be worth the drive if I could sell some plastic.

this show already attracks alot of people but adding tom white from commando saying he's bringing some product will probably put it over the top.

Always, tough to tell. I thought last year we were going to have issues with parking, issues with being able to move in the room, never happened. We had a good day in terms of weather (no snow, 38degrees F) and altered the room for better movement of people, no problems here either.

I'm trying to keep the event in line with it's name and deliver an interactive experience for young and old, inexperienced and experienced alike, the speakers alone is worth the drive like Robby said. The hardest part is staffing the event asking a lot from the club to deliver and volunteer, and asking them again to give demos. I've sandwiched the club demo table between DZ and Charley Soares in hopes that if theyre not in conversations themselves, they may weigh in on the demo conversation. I'm also asking the vendors themselves to participate in the demonstration aspect of the event, some of which happens naturally.

In addition to the speakers, we will have a dedicated table set up with a lathe that several guys will give presentations on, a dedicated fly and bucktail tying table same deal here, and a CSA demo table for various aspects on surfcasting. and guarenteed :chatter BS'n

Email Rob to see if theres space left for another vendor..... the members also take tables to sell their own gear (that's some of the best deals to be had there.....) so space may be limited

I've always wanted to make this show but it seems the weather or scheduling keeps me from coming. Hopefully this year I can make it. Long ass drive from merrimack nh though.

Yes Matt (Linesider82) has been doing a tremendous job with the speakers and vendors and many more aspects - too many to mention.

I am selling plugs and trying to help as I can- I thought I should do a short 20 minute demo- then I realized I have no skills that could teach anyone anything.

I could display my Bassmaster Plugs or display the largest custom plug bag in the universe or I can show off my Vass Super Nova PVC waders from England which are the second coming of Gra-Lite waders. I am still thinking.
