The top legal officials in 16 states, including Pennsylvania and Iowa which voted for Trump, filed a memorandum in support of efforts to halt the travel ban. The state attorneys general from these states argue they have standing as the executive order inflicts harm on states, including disruption at state universities and medical institutions.

10 former national security and foreign policy officials who have signed declarations in support of the federal lawsuit against the Trump administration’s executive order on immigration.

Their declaration calls the executive order “ill-conceived, poorly implemented and ill-explained,” and says it “offends our nation’s laws and values.”

“We all agree that the United States faces real threats from terrorist networks and must take all prudent and effective steps to combat them, including the appropriate vetting of travelers to the United States,” the declaration reads.

“We all are nevertheless unaware of any specific threat that would justify the travel ban established by the Executive Order issued on January 27, 2017. We view the Order as one that ultimately undermines the national security of the United States, rather than making us safer.”

This must just be about Trump... no way its about the rule of law that would be un America... and when the 9th rules up or down thats how it works ..

like anything, there are probably good ones and bad ones and some politically motivated hacks....

16 states? aren't there 50? (0r 57 if you are Obama)
what about the other 34 states(35 if you don't count DC as a state) and their "top legal officials"(or 41 if you are Obama)

New York, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont, the Commonwealths of Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia.

last I checked DC is not a state (maybe it's one of Obama's states) and among the others some of the most liberal in the nation so no surprise there

Iowa ......Miller= long serving Democrat

Pa....Josh Shapiro from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania= Democratic Party

"10 former national security and foreign policy officials"...this includes John Kerry, Susan Rice and Maddie Albright...sooo...yeah

“ill-conceived, poorly implemented and ill-explained”...sounds like Obamacare...deceitfully conceived and passed, woefully implemented..that rollout was a disaster too if you remember and inconvenienced a lot of American citizens, and dishonestly explained :heybaby:

“We all agree that the United States faces real threats from terrorist networks and must take all prudent and effective steps to combat them, including the appropriate vetting of travelers to the United States”

oh good.......there's hope

“We all are nevertheless unaware of any specific threat that would justify the travel ban"

Section 1182(f)

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate....so-called "top legal officials" should be able to understand this

"executive order inflicts harm on states"....I'd love to see this explained

bet you could get a bunch of hollywood celebs to sign on too
