Anyone going? I might be able to sneak down Friday afternoon.

I am looking to improve charts for my Raymarine and for a PLB.

Na, not this year. I went last year for the first time in about 10 years. and other than seeing a few guys I knew it was the same s h*t. Plus, $10 to park and $10 to get in you're $20 in the hole before you even look at anything.

Maybe friday if i can switch shifts. Missed it the last couple years. Funny how i usually bring a wad of cash with me and leave with most of it. Get a couple beers and buy a plug that i usually already have.

I've hit it the last couple of years only in the hopes I could get some interest in a buyer for my Ledge Runner Bait molds and inventory, but in retirement mode now, so it's about saving not spending money.

Actually I'm not a grump. I just have so much fishing stuff, after 50 years of doing this, that I don't need anything.

I make my own plugs, probably have 60+ rods and reels and fish pogies and eels when I don't throw my needles or metal lips. Just rather save the money for boat gas.

How about some food recommendations within waling distance of the show? I always end up eating at the Irish pub across the street which is great, but when that place is mobbed after the show gets out on Friday night I don't know where to go. Hit up Lux last year but it's not the same without Chefchris.

Thanks Toby!

Usually on Friday the food trucks are across the street at Kennedy plaza, there's a few insanely good ones. There's a Korean BBQ one that's amazing

Toby if you walk up the hill there is a pub on the left that we eat at every year. Brew their own beer, and the burgers are awesome.

FRIED CHICKEN.:kewl: I had the best in Charleston SC in Jan. No more for me. Now I've been on NutraSystem for 5 weeks and down 22#. Food sucks but the diet works for me.

Don't forget the Malted Barley it is about 4 blocks SW from the show. If some of you have been to the location in Westerly, RI then you know what this place is all about. Great line up of craft beers and some of the best pretzels and pretzel sandwiches you will ever have. Captains Daughter is almost always on tap!

Very good show. Saw lots of good longtime friends and fellow anglers. Great day all around, until we hit a white out about a half hour from home..... No sanders were out. Saw a lot of spin outs. Still well worth the trip!
