I want to replace my plug wires on a 115 4 stroke Yamaha outboard.
I CANNOT find them online and I have looked for hours. Anyone have any ideas or names. It appears that I have to buy from a dealer for about $70 for 4 wires, which I think is outrageous.

You're not going to be happy....:hs:

Looks like they're part of ignition coil assembly...
Check out your engine at Sims

SD that why I asked WHY ><><>:kewl:

The reason why is because one of the wires #4, got torn (the outer covering), while changing the plugs. I taped the rubber and then liquid taped over the tape.

You guys think it'll be OK?

Thanks guys. I'll go with it the way it is. As for the plugs, I change them every year with NGK Iridium plugs and I NEVER have problems.

Wow... for a 4s that's at the low end of the range no? I like to prop to hit the top of the range. I like to mess with stuff (since I can't catch fish). I'd drop down 2" pitch to get my max RPM up at/near 6000K for your engine. Heck i top out at 5200 (max 5500 for my motor) and i wish it was a bit higher (not enough to drop money on a another new prop though).

Joe, I'm not sure. She runs great so I'm not messing with it. I am at 32 knots@ 5400. I'm certain I could get more RPMs and a higher top end with a different prop but I'm running a stainless prop with the specs the Yami dealer recommended for my boat and motor.

I usually only run between 4200 and 4500 anyway so I don't need a higher RPM output. 4500 puts me at about 26 knots.

Ya, 42 to 4500 sounds like the sweet spot, I get a little less speed than that, I must weigh more than u.....:hidin:

Gup, I use to run at about 22 23 Knots but I had trim taps put on last year and pick up a few knots
